Location

The Thorpe Territory is the western territory in Elan. It shares borders with the provinces of Killock, Gauld, and Peverin to the east across the Girdle Mountains. Its southern border is shared with the country of Nepton. Its northern border runs along the country of Dorage. It currently has no capital city.

Environment

The largely unmapped west is said to have thick, untamed woods, rolling grasslands, and deserts. It also hosts a long coast line that sinks into the Twilight Ocean. Little is known for sure, however, and information is scarce.

Livelihood

Most people who have gone to Thorpe do so for railroad jobs. The Dauntless Railroad Company is determined to settle the West, and needs as many as it can muster to help it on its journey. Others from all walks of life are following, seeking better than the lives they’re leaving behind.

Key Cities

Hargrove is one of the very few settlements currently in the Thorpe Territory. There are small camps and towns along the extending railways, but not many. The capital city is not yet established.

Views from Others

No one comes from the Thorpe Territory - they go into it. With little exception in the earlier years, few have returned. Those that have are often viewed as changed or distant, talking little about their time across the mountains. After seeing and living through too much, many withdraw from society, having found it difficult to reintegrate into the communities they were once a part of. More often than not, they wander back to the Thorpe Territory out of desperation to find their place again.
